The alphabet of photogenicity

To paraphrase a famous aphorism, one can say: do not be born beautiful, but be born … photogenic. Alas, only a few are photogenic of us. The rest, looking at their own pictures, constantly have to ask themselves the question: “Do I really look so awful? What will my future great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren think about me? ”After all, everyone wants to remain in the memories of their descendants as a prominent and interesting person, and not greyish, or, worse, – ugly. Of course, being born non-photogenic, Cindy Crawford can no longer be. But is it possible to learn the art of being good at photographs? It turns out that yes. Moreover, many models (and not necessarily top) own it perfectly. And not all of them, believe me, are in everyday life brilliant beauties, writes “The Business World”.

Drive
Not enough one brilliant appearance to successfully get in the photos. To do this, first of all, you need to be a bright personality, that is, to have your own drive. And so do not hesitate to flirt, romp, and sometimes a little hooligan during photography. But sluggish facial expression, unnatural postures and smiles, on the contrary, should be avoided. The stupidest thing you can do is stretch out along the line, stand, staring at the camera.

Makeup
Of course, this detail applies only to women. Always remember that your makeup in the photo should be somewhat brighter than the one you used to use every day. Therefore, never be too lazy to tint your lips or to powder your shiny forehead or nose before taking pictures. A few small professional secrets that make-up artists share: light mother-of-pearl shadows make the eyes shine, and eyebrows, accentuated on the upper edge, “open” the eyes and help to hide the flaw – lowered corners of the eyes. If you want to make your complexion fresher, wash your face with plain mineral water right before shooting. The effect will be instant. To make the face brighter, apply a wide brush bronze blush on the cheekbones, nose and chin. A wide nose can be made visually narrower by applying dark shadows. Carefully apply them on the wings of the nose. However, do not forget that this technique is good only for photography and is poorly applicable in everyday life. A little too far with makeup? No problem! Most likely, this will not be visible in the photo. And then, as one very famous French make-up artist says, “it’s better to look like a maniac than to be invisible”.

disadvantages
No matter how trite it sounds, but you should not emphasize your flaws in the photo. If your teeth are not too beautiful, do not smile with your mouth full. And do not wear a mini skirt before taking pictures if you have full legs. Did you know that Cindy Crawford has ugly bulging ears, Karen Mulder has a long nose, and Valeria Mazza has short legs? Most likely not, because they all skillfully hide their flaws. Even if you have wonderful smooth skin, try to avoid close ups. Close-up photography is a very special process. She emphasizes the slightest flaws in the skin and requires high professionalism of the photographer, good equipment and professionally made makeup.

Situation
Alas, the overwhelming majority of our citizens grab a camera during banquets and parties, starting to shoot drunken relatives against the background of empty bottles and an uneaten Olivier salad. We will not read the moralistic teachings about the artistic value of such “photogirls” once again, but still we advise you to choose the background more carefully. Also try not to be photographed in a nervous, not too friendly environment. For it is likely that all the feelings you carefully conceal will capture the camera.

Rejection
Marilyn Monroe had a very responsible attitude towards how she will remain in the memories of her descendants. Therefore, mercilessly and rejected all unsuccessful his photos, sending them to the right address … in the trash. Maybe this is why she remained in our memories so feminine and brilliant? Let’s not be Plyushkin and follow her example. Unaware of pity and mercy, throw away all your bad shots.

Perspective
If you look at a hundred or two photos of Claudia Schiffer (Eva Gerzigova, Christy Turlington, etc., etc.) at your leisure, it is not hard to see that all the above-mentioned ladies are photographed in only two, maximum three of their own good angles. And top models, unlike other mere mortals, know them like the back of their fingers. What prevents you from figuring out your successful views? To do this, you need a camera “Polaroid”, allowing you to take snapshots, and a drop of observation. Already after one such photo session, certain conclusions can be drawn. Learn not to look at the camera. At first, it can be difficult to do, nothing can be done – a habit! However, having learned this clever trick, you will be pleasantly surprised how many interesting angles he can give to someone who knows how to behave naturally in front of the camera.
